Howdy, Neighbor!
This website has been established to keep the Merriman Park Estates
("MPE") residents and the potential residents informed of the
happenings in and around our neighborhood.
For the MPE residents we have a perpetual monthly calendar detailing
important meetings, events, and RISD school holidays. There are sections
devoted to each of our neighborhood clubs and our neighborhood
schools. In addition there is a helpful phone number page, a listing
of neighborhood email contacts, city and state information specific to MPE,
recycling and trash pick up schedules, as well as, maps, internet links
and amenities close by.
For those potential neighbors, MPE would like to introduce itself:
MPE is a well maintained and quiet neighborhood of individually designed
homes with character. As this neighborhood was originally
established in 1958, we have long time residents, as well as, new
ones. A beautiful park is located along Merriman Parkway with "funtastic" and recently updated playground equipment. The trees and
landscaping throughout the neighborhood are well established, mature and
beautiful. When the dogwoods and azaleas are in bloom, it is really
quite lovely.
MPE is in a great location with easy access to Downtown Dallas and close
to major highways (Central Expwy. (75), LBJ Freeway (635) and Northwest
Hwy). There are DART rail stations nearby. One is located at
Park Lane and Greenville Avenue. The other is located near the intersection of Northwest Hwy. and
Lawther Dr. The next DART station that will affect our neighborhood
is at the intersection of Skillman and LBJ.
While MPE is in the Dallas city limits, this
neighborhood is part of the Richardson Independent School District ("RISD").
Northpark Mall, Foley's, SuperTarget, numerous specialty stores,
restaurants, entertainment and great churches are all located within three
miles of our neighborhood. In addition, the White Rock Hike & Bike
Trail passes through our park, the Fair Oaks Tennis Center is adjacent to
the park, and White Rock Lake is right down the way.
For old residents and new, living in the MPE neighborhood offers the
opportunity to meet neighbors, make friends, beautify our area, learn new
things, serve on the neighborhood board, protect property values and
participate in one or all of our active neighborhood clubs. All this
is offered to our neighborhood through the hard work and dedication of
residents of Merriman Park Estates. This just isn't a place to
live...it is our home! We hope you will consider making it your home
by becoming a member of the Merriman Park Estates Neighborhood
Association. |
