                             (MPASP)


WHAT is the Merriman Park Armed Security Patrol?

It is a program supported totally by MPE Homeowner's donations.  Those donations result in the scheduling of an off duty Dallas Police Officer to patrol our neighborhood at the hours of our choosing. 

HOW does MPASP work?

MPASP asks that each resident donate $150 per year so that we may hire Officer John McGuire, a City of  Dallas Police Officer, to patrol our neighborhood and watch out for us and our property.  Officer McGuire canvasses our neighborhood in his marked police vehicle at random and irregular hours of our own choosing.  MPASP works in tandem with our MPE VIP Club so that we may get the most patrol hours of coverage by having a watchful eye surveying our neighborhood at any given time.  Officer McGuire makes arrests, contacts homeowners with garage doors or windows open, watches our park, attends meetings and even has an email address that we as MPE neighbors may use to notify him when we are going out of town so he can keep an extra special eye on our homes.  These are just a few of the duties he performs.  Please consider supporting this organization.

HOW do I use the MPASP Vacation Notification Service?

Send an email to:  jlm5118@yahoo.com  This is Officer John McGuire’s email and you should let him
know when you will be out of town.  Please include a name, address, when you will be gone, home
phone and contact information while you are out of town. In addition, you may call our MPE Voicemail 
at 214-967-5075 to inform our very own Volunteers in Patrol of your vacation plans as VIP will
watch your house too!
